Hello, and Welcome to Zeldafanon. I'm Moblin slayer, one of teh admins here. If you need help with anything (how to edit, how to add userboxes, how to make templates, or how to make a word bubble (the thing I'm writing in), or anything else) at all, feel free to ask me. I hope you have fun editing!
Okay, I can see you're having a little trouble, so here's a small editing guide...
Templates: You're best friend. Basically applies to anything, such as word bubbles or even userboxes. Here's basically how they work:
Type {{Name of Template you Want}}
Basically how it works. If you want to make one, create a page called Template:Name of Template.
The "nowiki" code: Ever want to type something, but because it matches a code, it gets typed in differently? Well, that's what the "nowiki" code is for. Just type <nowiki>text you want</nowiki> and it will appear as you type it.
Making Links: This is the easiest. For an internal link (a link to a page on this wikia), just type [[Name of page]]. If you really want to be snazzy, and type one thing and link it to a page with another name, type [[Name of page you want|what you want to call that page]]. External links are similar; just type <nowiki>[URL of page you want (the thing that appears in the web address bar)] . If you want to call the page by a different name, just type [URL (spacebar) what you want to call the page].
The Shoutbox:This is nice if you want to see how's here or chat with people who are editing. Here's how:
Look at the top right of your page. You'll see a green button that says "more." Click this, and then in the dropdown bar click "manage widgets."
At first, you may think nothing happened. However, you can now see at the top of the page a bunch of windows. Scroll over (click the >> button) until you find "shoutbox."
Click the little + near the shoutbox icon. The shoutbox will appear just above the recent changes.
The word bubble is a little harder to make, so I'll make one for you, Just tell me the colors, quotes, and image you want.
Finally, it is a good idea to categorize pages. To do so, just type [[Category:Name of Category (adventure fanfic, etc.)]] at the bottom of the page.
